Sarfaraz Khan smashed 14 sixes on his way to a scintillating 157 off just 75 balls in Mumbai's gargantuan effort of 444/8 in 50 overs against Goa. Musheer, Sarfaraz's brother, got a half-century while Hardik Tamore hit 53 off just 28 to propel Mumbai further in their 87-run win.

Maharashtra captain Ruturaj Gaikwad scored a century too, going a touch slower than Sarfaraz did for Mumbai, but created the same impact on the result. Gaikwad's 113-ball 124 and a few notable efforts from the lower-order powered the team to 331/7 - a total steep enough to earn them a 129-run victory over Uttarakhand.

In Alur, Sahab Yuvraj (91 off 99) and Ravi Singh (72 off 69) carried Railways up to second spot in Group D with strong performances in a tense chase of Gujarat's 283 as they won by four wickets.

Biplab Samantray scored a 74-ball 72 in Odisha's big win over Delhi, that was largely set up by his bowlers. (More on that below). But before Rajesh Mohanty and Debabrata Pradhan could share five wickets between them, they scored vital runs from No.9 and 10. Mohanty made 17* off 12 while Pradhan hit two sixes and a four in a nine-ball 21*.

Haryana skipper Ankit Kumar led from the front in chase against Services as he outshone Irfan Ali (103 off 113) with an unbeaten 144 off 123 - a knock laced with 14 fours and four sixes. He enabled a successful chase of Services' 275/3 in just 43.1 overs.

Chhattisgarh powered their way to a mammoth 229-run victory over Sikkim, and it was a two-part assault. The first belonged to the top-order where Vikalp Tiwari smashed nine fours and six sixes on his way to a 57-ball 117. Captain Amandeep Khare got 83 off 59 while Aayush Pandey hit 86 off 104. They finished with 355/3 and then the bowlers swung into action.

Utkarsh Singh (123* off 120) and Shikhar Mohan (90 off 108) led Jharkhand's charge in what was Tamil Nadu's third defeat in four games in the competition.

In a thrilling finish in Ahmedabad, Baba Aparajith (126 off 116), Krishna Prasad (53 off 61) and Eden Apple Tom (40* off 18) orchestrated Kerala's two-wicket victory as they successfully chased down Rajasthan's 343/7 with a six on the last ball of the innings. This came after two Rajasthan batters had a good outing themselves as Karan Lamba scored an undefeated 119 and Deepak Hooda made 86.

Karnataka beat Puducherry through centuries from openers Mayank Agarwal (132 off 124) and Devdutt Padikkal (113 off 116). This is now Padikkal's third century of the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy. Karun Nair swung for the fences too with a 34-ball 62* as Karnataka posted 363/4 and won by 67 runs.
